Stingr Screen Detector

Help us find every TV

This app looks for a TV or monitor in your camera picture. After you agree, the camera turns on so you can get into position - nothing is sent yet. Once you press Start recording, it sends 5 camera images per second to our server, where we keep them to improve screen detection.

No name, no account, and we do not store your IP address.
We keep the images for at most 12 months.
At the end you get a session code; send it to info@stingr-tech.com and we will delete those images.
You can stop at any time; a session lasts at most 5 minutes.
Please keep anyone who does not want to be recorded out of the picture.

Point at a screen

Any TV or computer monitor will do. Put any video on it and let it play - YouTube, Netflix, the news, anything that moves. The camera is already on behind this guide, but nothing is sent yet.

Keep it in the frame

Fit the whole screen inside the orange dashed frame. When we find it, its corners light up in orange.

Show us variety

Move slowly. Near and far, from the side, in a bright and a dark room - every difference helps us most. A few seconds with the screen switched off helps too.

You are in control

Get comfortable first, then press Start recording. Stop whenever you like; a session ends by itself after 5 minutes.
